ONIGIRIS FURIFURI
(recipe for about 8 onigiris)
The ingredients:
For the tuna onigiris:
- 1 can of tuna
- 1 piece of cucumber about 6cm long
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- Nori seaweed
For the veggie onigiris:
- 50 grams of fresh cheese
- 50 grams of pea kernels
- 50 grams of smoked tofu
For the rice:
- 200 grams of Japanese rice
- 4 tablespoons of sushi rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of FURIFURI ORIGINAL
Preparation steps:
- Prepare the Japanese vinegared rice : Soak the rice for 1 hour in a bowl of cold water. Drain it and let it sit for 30 minutes in a colander.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rice with 200g of water (20cl).
- Heat over medium heat and cover as soon as the water boils. Cook for 5 minutes, without lifting the lid. Reduce the heat and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat, without removing the lid, and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Place the rice in a salad bowl and add the vinegar, also pour in 2 tablespoons of FURIFURI ORIGINAL . Mix and let cool to room temperature .
- Prepare the tuna filling: Crumble the tuna, cut the cucumber into small cubes and pour both into a bowl, add the soy sauce. Mix.
- In the bowl of a blender, mix: the nuts, the cream cheese and the tofu.
- In an onigiri mold, place a layer of sushi rice. Add the tuna or veggie filling and finish with a layer of rice. Press down and repeat until all the rice is used up.
- Pour the ORIGINAL FURIFURI onto a plate and roll the onigiris in it. Finish with a piece of nori seaweed.
