INGREDIENTS

  • 150 g of coral lentils
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 30g fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 400 g of tomato pulp
  • 400 ml of coconut milk
  • Fresh coriander
  • 500 ml of water
  • Oil
  • FURIFURI Curry

STEPS

 
1. In a small casserole dish or large saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil, add the chopped onion and cook over medium heat, stirring for 5 minutes.
 
2. Add the ginger, mix and cook for 2 minutes
 
3. Pour the lentils into the saucepan, along with the tomato pulp, water (+ or - 500 ml of water) and half of the coconut milk.
4. Mix and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and cook for about 25 minutes, checking the cooking time. If necessary, add a little water to make the mixture a little less thick, if it has reduced too much during cooking. Just before serving, add a little coconut milk to the dhal and garnish with furifuri.
5. Be careful not to let the Dahl boil during cooking and do not overcook the lentils or they may burst.
