UMAMI ET FURIKAKÉ

UMAMI AND FURIKAKE

Umami, that famous 5th taste - in addition to salty, sweet, bitter and sour - is at the heart of our furikakes thanks to seaweed, one of the key foods in terms of umami.

Kei Matsushima, a talented Japanese chef who has lived in Nice for over 25 years, worked on the recipes for our FURIFURI. "I immediately felt that the approach of this new brand was sincere. Natsuko and Julie, the two founders, wanted to create 100% natural furikake. I embraced this idea because salt is a real scourge, especially in the diet of children who, from a very young age, are accustomed to eating overly salty dishes," says Kei.

Indeed, let's remember that Japanese furikakes found in stores are certainly delicious in the mouth but also full of additives, colorings and... salt. However, their whole point is precisely to remove salt as much as possible to become an interesting alternative to classic salt. This is how FURIFURI was born!

After many trials and tastings, Kei finally created 5 tasty recipes for us: the original combining Brittany seaweed and roasted sesame, but also versions with chili, lemon, tomato and mild curry.

So go ahead and make life a little more fun !
