Furikake, a blend of spices and herbs used by the Japanese, is a "healthy" alternative to added salt . FuriFuri, in France, has made it its specialty.

How to reduce salt in cooking, or even do without it?

By playing with spices and herbs, much better for your health.

FuriFuri, a young brand created by Natsuko Perromat du Marais and Julie Renaud , offers furikakés, these condiment mixes that the Japanese sprinkle on their dishes to enhance the taste, with a reduced salt content.

With its new Genki range - which means physical and mental health in Japanese - it goes further by completely removing added salt from a 100% French furikaké, Genki Spiruline . It combines spirulina, kombu seaweed from Brittany, pepper, rapeseed oil and hemp seeds which replace the classic sesame. Seaweed is a good source of omega 3, a fatty acid essential for proper brain function. It is also found in their other new turmeric flavor , but with 5% salt.
